NATIONS VISION MOVING CLOSER TO REALITY
Construction underway on state-of-the-art Cultivation Facility

Burns Lake, BC – NATIONS continues to move closer to its ultimate goal of cultivating and marketing Cannabis and in doing so, establishing itself as a key player in the marketplace, and creating meaningful economic benefits for Indigenous People and local communities in BC’s Northern Interior.

NATIONS is an Indigenous-controlled cannabis production company based in Burns Lake, committed to growing the prosperity of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples across the region while providing safe, supportive access to high-quality medical cannabis as well as recreational cannabis.

“This is an exciting time for NATIONS as we are progressing on a number of fronts,” said co-founder and Executive Chair, Wesley Sam. “With respect to federal licensing approval, we are a late-stage applicant and a high-level review of our application has been completed.  That’s a positive sign, indicating the application is moving through the process as planned.”

NATIONS recently received a building permit from the Village of Burns Lake and are now in the midst of construction and a retrofit of the Burns Lake Specialty Wood building which has sat vacant for years.

“What differentiates NATIONS from others in the marketplace is that our vision and development has been guided through an Indigenous lens,” continued Sam. “That means doing more than simply growing cannabis. We want to provide family-supporting jobs, develop health and education partnerships, and ensure there are positive social and economic impacts for local communities and Indigenous populations.”
